Facebook sign in will give you step by step instructions to sign into your Facebook account. The steps are relatively simple but just in case there are ‘newbies’ here we are going to talk you through the simple process.
You will be given a page like or similar to this:-
- Click in the top box that says e-mail and enter your e-mail that you have chosen to log in with your Facebook account. Then you need to click into the box next to it that says ‘password’ and enter the password that you chose for your Facebook account. If still having trouble see the image below for an example.
- Once you have done these steps, simply click on the Log in button and you should be re directed to your Facebook homepage. Simple.
If you have problems with forgetting your log in details then you can click here https://www.facebook.com/login/identify?ctx=recover and follow the steps shown.
Once here just enter your e-mail that you use in the box that says e-mail and click the search button shown in the image below.
You will then be given a page like this
Click this is my account on the one that you know is your account (you may be given a list of people similar to yourself)
Then another page will open similar to this
Choose the way in which you would like to reset your password and then click continue. You will then get either a verification text or e-mail which you have to enter to verify you are who you are and then change your password. Simple.
Mobile users will have the same kind of setup but it will obviously be a different layout but the process is more or less similar. A big no no is to save your password on your Pc, mobile or tablet but you must think about this logically, if someone stole your phone, laptop, PC or tablet they would have your log in details saved with all your personal details at hand to start creating fraud using your details. Not a pretty thought is it! So we suggest that you do not save your details, even if it seems like a great idea, if the worst happens ( and we hope it never does) then you won’t have to worry about someone having your personal details.
Remember guys and gals, stay smart and stay safe.
Hotmail (or outlook now its all changed) can be the most annoying e-mail to log into if your having issues, yet it’s the best e-mail service out there to date…..go figure. We thought what better way to help people than to offer a guide to logging in correctly to your Hotmail/outlook account.
1. Dates Confused?
A big issue with logging into Hotmail is your PC date. Silly we know but if your PC has the incorrect date set then chances are your not even going to get the page to load let alone any other issues. Simple way to fix this? Change your date. On the bottom start menu bar you will see a clock with the date on it, simply right click it and it will bring the clock up in a pop up box. Click the link where it says change date and time settings and another box should pop up…..click change date and time then choose the correct time and date and then click ok. Now try logging in again.
2. Browser issues?
Some browsers have compatibility issues which can be highly annoying, way around this? Change your browser. The best tried and tested browser that hardly ever fails is firefox so make sure you have at least 2 browsers of some sort to switch between. Annoying, we know, but if it gets you out of trouble then its worth its weight in gold.
3. Forgot login details.
This can be stressful but rest assured there are ways to help this problem. Firstly go to log in, yes we know you forgot your details so just bare with us, once you tried to log in it will come up with that horrible error message, but under that message is your savior……a little click-able link saying can’t access your account? CLICK IT! Or…….to make it a little easier use this :-
Follow the on screen instructions and this should get you back into your account
4. Virus protection
This little beauty is mentioned a lot over this site but believe us when we say…..IT HELPS…..LOADS! Make sure your virus protection is turned on and if you do not have a virus protection then we highly suggest that you go get yourself one. Don’t want to pay for one? No problem www.avg.com offer a great free virus protection……..for freeeeeeee You have no excuse now, stay protected.
If you have timeout errors because your left it for too long, simply refresh the page by clicking the refresh button on your browser and that should reload the page (although you might have to log back in)
Hope this helps and good luck!
For all of you out there having problems logging into Orkut, we have made this helpful list to hopefully make things a little easier into logging into Orkut.
1. Forgot password?
An obvious problem is forgetting your password which can be a nightmare. Luckily enough there is a simple task for you to do to get your account back. Simply click this link and follow the on screen instructions which will get you a new password and/or e-mail to use.
Sometimes if you have left your account idle for a while it will sometimes give you a timeout error. Simply click the refresh button and this should bring you back into your Orkut account successfully. If you don’t know where your refresh button is then look at this for an example :-
3. Browser issues?
If you have trouble logging in or the site does not load correctly why not try using another browser? Sometimes you can get bugs or websites compatibility issues.
Always make sure you use a good virus protection, if you don’t use one chances are your likely to be susceptible to a virus attack which can corrupt your hard drive, motherboard or steal login details for various websites. Norton is probably the best virus protection program out there but if your looking for a free alternative that doesn’t use much memory then try Avg free. It offers great great protection and uses very little disk space and memory.
5.After signing in, page not loading.
If your having issues after logging in then try clearing your cache and cookies in your browser your using. Then reload the page.
6. Internet Connection.
An obvious one is to test your internet connection. If your browser is not loading properly and you have already tried the above steps then try resetting your router. This is done by simply either turning the power off for 10 seconds and then back on, or by pressing in the reset button on the back of the router. Sometimes this can solve a lot of page load issues.
Lat resort will be to try to restore your pc to an earlier point. Sometimes the installation of a certain program or update could interfere with your pc settings which in turn could give you login issues for Orkut and other websites. Restoring can let you know if a certain file/program is interfering with it or not.
Hope this helps and good luck
So……..your having problems with logging into Facebook! We all at some point have issues with Facebook but having trouble logging into Facebook has to be the most annoying and stressful out the lot. We are here to give you some tips and advice on logging in successfully.
First rule of thumb is to always make sure that you have a virus checker installed on your laptop, tablet or mobile phone ( yes even mobile are susceptible to virus attacks). There are certain virus’s that can alter your passwords and various other things so having an up to date virus protection program will make sure you are protected against this.
2. E-mail protection
Make sure that your E-mail account is protected. Using Outlook (used to be Hotmail) is the safest way to go as they offer e-mail security. Otherwise most online protection protection programs have settings to protect your e-mails. NEVER CLICK FACEBOOK LINKS IN E-MAILS. There are some e-mails that pretend to be Facebook and look like the official e-mails too but if you click them then your likely to be rediected to a fake page ( see check the URL below). Once here you will enter your facebook details and effectively give your details to a hacker. BE aware!
3.Check the URL
Make sure that you are logging into Facebook at http://www.facebook.com. This is very important as there are certain sites out there that will look and feel like the official Facebook page…..it’s only until close inspection that you will notice it says something like http://facebook.hackme.com. Although it says facebook in the URL it is actually whats called a ‘sub domain’ and although it looks like facebook in the url its actually an add on to the hackme.com site. Please always check your URL.
A quick but obvious one really but we feel it needs to be mentioned non the less. Always make sure your firewall is switched on.
5. Give out your details?
A big no no is to give out your personal details. Some sites offer help to login to your Facebook account and to do that they ask for your details…..when people are desperate to login they will willingly give out their details. Sounds silly reading it now maybe but this is a very silly thing to do. Unless its through Facebook’s help centre, never give out your details to anyone.
6. Facebook changes
One thing that never changes is the fact Facebook feel like they always feel they need to constantly change the layout of Facebook and so the look may change and you might not see where to log in. Don’t fret just keep a watchful eye out and you will surely see the log in button somewhere…….pesky Facebook
7. Ask for help
If all else fails contact Facebook directly. They can help with any issues that we cannot cover here. https://www.facebook.com/help/?ref=pf
We hope this can help you in logging back in to your Facebook account
